From the Douro home of the one and only Port, the soil consists essentially of schists of the Cambric and the Pre-Cambric. The vine is cultivated in terraces supported by stone walls, or on platforms held up by natural slopes on the contours of the hillside. Amber color. Excellent assemblage of aromas, especially dried fruits. Soft and velvety taste. Long finish.
