After upgrading the property with feng shui inspiried new cellars, biodynamic farming, and a crew that included a winemaker with degrees from both Dijon and Bordeaux, Caiarossa was born. Named after the red earth (think Etruscan pottery) and the mother of all gods, Gaia, the top wine is a mystical blend of Bordeaux varietals, Sangio, etc. \u003cbr\u003eAs buyers, we see deals every day, but this one was too good to pass up. In this case, we have a relative newcomer to the market that changed hands a few times among importers. Then, after the 2010 vintage hit the market, the '09 and '07 vintages (very good in their own right), were passed over by consumers. The opportunity is that these are beasty wines that required additional bottle aging, and now they are stunning to drink. Note, this is the winery's flagship Caiarossa Caiarossa wine, not their lesser wines. Also worth noting, Bolgheri's famous Supertuscan estates are located a short 25km away, and WA rated the '09 vintage 97 pts.
