About the Wine

Linne Calodo was born in 1998 when Matt Trevisan started a small side project while working at Wild Horse Winery. No great wine is made without a little bit of a gamble.

The creation of any dream requires that you start somewhere. That somewhere began in 2005 with the planting of their first 5 acres of vines and was further built upon in 2009 after building a new winery and tasting room. Their estate is found in the heart of the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles. The wines grown by a passionate team are balanced without chemical manipulation and are some of the most highly acclaimed wines in Paso Robles.

The Willow Creek AVA sits 11 miles from the coast and is simultaneously warmed by the protective Santa Lucia mountain range and cooled by the Pacific winds. This unique weather pattern in one of the southwesternmost districts in Paso Robles allows the wines to retain acidity while producing fruit that offers a unique flavor profile.

Aging: 12 Months in French Oak Foudres

Tasting Notes:Red Wine.

70% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre. Bright red raspberries and currants burst out of the glass with a bramble of wild California sagebrush and soft rosemary lingering after. Lovely acidity keeps the wine uplifted, while hints of caramelized brown sugar play at the edges of your palate.  This wine is itching to be drunk and enjoyed but will continue to show vibrancy through 2026.
