About the Wine

Robert Parker had this to say about Beringer, "After Years of visiting the world's best wine producers, I cannot think of too many cellars where I have walked out shaking my head at such an extraordinary range of quality."

A well known and well regarded producer since 1876, Beringer produces many wines. This is their signature Cabernet and if you haven't tasted it in a while, here's a very good Napa wine at a very reasonable price.

Tasting Notes: The Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon opens with vivid aromas of fresh boysenberry and ripe, dark fruits which are accented by hints of leather and dark chocolate notes. The wine is full-bodied with a dense concentration of flavors and plush tannins that underpin the solid structure.

Vineyards: Bancroft Ranch and Steinhauer Vineyard in the Howell Mountain AVA, Marston Ranch in the Spring Mountain AVA and the St Helena Home Vineyard in the St. Helena AVA.

Oak Aging: 29% New French oak, for 20 months

Reviews

Lots of ripe fruit to this cab with dried berries, cherries, currants and chocolate undertones. Full and powerful, yet there's a freshness and firmness to it all. Drink in 2021, but very approachable now in a fruit-forward way. ~92JS
