Château Haut-Beyzac is the last acquisition of the Raguenot Lallez Miller
family. They bought the vineyard 1997 and took the time to study the soil and
rebuilt the vineyard which naturally benefits from an incredible soil base composed of clay and limestone. 2001 was the first vintage produced and its quality got the attention of renowned wine professionals, press, and earned medals year
after year. Laying the foundation for this impeccable Cru Bourgeois.
Grapes are 100% destemmed. Maceration is done at 30° and lasts for 20 to 30 days. Temperature controlled, malolactic fermentation. The wine is finally aged in neutral oak barrels.
Tasting Notes: 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot. Intense and brilliant red. Fruity nose associated with a toasted wood note. A subtle attack up front, balanced by the smooth tanin structure crescendoed by a round and silky finish. This respectful character of Medoc wines will flatter your palate.
Attractive berry biscuit with a fresh and succulent array of ripe red plums and blackberries on offer, leading to a very attractive and vibrant palate, carrying plenty of red-fruit flavor. A blend of 65 per cent merlot, 30 per cent cabernet sauvignon and five per cent petit verdot. ~92JS
