Reviews

A big, rich and ripe white, with plenty of spice and smoky accents to the flavors of baked apple, pear tart and shortbread. The long finish is filled with buttery notes. Drink now through 2020. 343 cases made. ~91WS

Yellow-gold with a green tinge. Deep, leesy aromas of peach, apricot, grilled notes and smoked meat, complicated by lavender and marzipan nuances. Plush, rich, fine-grained and dry, with the wine's oak and mineral components keeping its ripe stone fruit flavors under wraps today. Suave, restrained Chardonnay with harmonious acidity and a complex rising finish. Salentein's Finca San Pablo vineyard is planted at a density of 10,000 vines to the hectare on low-vigor soil at an altitude of 1,600 meters. Drink: 2015-2020 ~91VM

The 2013 Single Vineyard Chardonnay is sourced from a vineyard in San Pablo in the Tunuyán department at some 1,600 meters altitude, their highest altitude vineyard. The soils are very sandy. The wine had the full Monty, that is to say fermentation in oak barrels, full malolactic and 10 months aging. There are notes of cereals, smoke, yeasts and ripe yellow fruit. The palate is medium-bodied, with good acidity, sharp rather than round and an ending with good chalky minerality. 4,116 bottles produced. ~90WA
