Reviews

This is a very structured red with lots of blackberry, currant, walnut and graphite. Full-bodied and long. Nice chewiness. 72% cabernet sauvignon, the rest merlot. ~94-95 James Suckling

An incredibly classic Pauillac, the 2020 Château Lynch-Moussas offers medium-bodied aromas and flavors of darker currants, smoked tobacco, lead pencil, and gravelly earth as well as loads of texture, bright tannins, notable balance, and a clean, classy style. It’s not massive, by any means, but given its purity of fruit as well as its tannins, it should easily evolve for two decades. ~90-92 Jeb Dunnuck

Fresher and juicier than some Pauillacs, there is integrity and structure to the fruit, but also a sense of fun and enjoyment. Sometimes tasting young Médocs you feel the producers are trying so hard that they have forgotten that wine is supposed to be fun, whereas with this the balance is pretty much right up there, full of pleasure with fine tannins. This continues a run of successful vintages for Lynch-Moussas. It's not the most long-living Pauillac, but is one to watch right now. Drinking Window 2023 - 2038 ~91 Decanter
