Reviews

A wonderful young wine with such integrity and polish with ultra-fine tannins. Currants, chocolate, hazelnuts, and crushed stones. Yet ever so refined. The length is gorgeous, too. Thoughtful and ethereal. 80% cabernet franc and 20% merlot. ~97-98 JS

The 2022 Le Dome is terrific. Succulent black cherry, sage, espresso, licorice, and dried herbs infuse the 2022 with tons of character. As always, Le Dome is quite reticent en primeur. There's terrific energy though, and tons of potential for those who can wait. Bright saline notes from the Franc wrap around the imposing finish. ~94-96 AG-VM

The 2022 Le Dome includes part of Les Asteries, picked between 14 to 28 September and matures in 80% new oak. Blackberry, liquorice, and espresso on the nose, quite pure in style with just a little headiness. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit laced with graphite and black pepper. Quite dense, with more detail than the Vieux Château Mazerat on the slightly blurred finish, nevertheless, this constitutes a fine Le Dome that should age with style. 15.1% alcohol. ~92-94 NM-VM
