About the Wine

Chateau Vermont is a charming 19th Century Château surrounded by 40 hectares of vines. Fourth Generation wine cultivators David and Elisabeth Labat have carried the torch and built upon the foundation laid by previous generations. In 2011, the couple made major renovations to the estate by modernizing the winery, increased vine density, and replaced old vines with sustainable rootstock.

Thanks to the qualitative efforts and investments put into the property, the Château Vermont is well on the way to regaining the high rank it once held in the 19th century. The property is right in the heart of Entre-Deux-Mers, which translates to between two seas. The name is in reference to the land being flanked on both sides by the main rivers of Bordeaux, the Garrone, and the Dordogne. The presence of the two rivers helps maintain consistent temperatures ideal for growing the white grapes of Bordeaux.

This lovely wine is a testament to why some of the best value wines in the world are produced in Bordeaux. We recommend to all of our private clients: Buy petite chateau in high-quality vintages and stock up on everyday value wines like this. With no oak, there is a purity and delicious snap to this wine that makes you want to drink more. Share it with friends and they will be shocked at what you paid for this.

Tasting Notes: 70% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Semillon, and 10% Sauvignon Gris. Powerful, the nose is complex and elegant, very aromatic dominated by floral notes (white flowers) and citrus (grapefruit). The palate seduces by the roundness of Semillon, the mineral freshness of Sauvignon, and citrus aromas, passion fruit of Sauvignon Gris.
