About the Wine

The Perrier family has been making wines in Savoie since the mid-1800s. Today they produce an extremely small quantity of wine from varieties native to the region. The estate is currently run by the fifth and sixth generation of the Perrier family. They have always moved towards more traditional Savoie winemaking when given the opportunity, with a large emphasis placed on expanding into varieties such as Chignin, Mondeuse, and Altese. The family works with nearly every style of wine, this rose is made from Gamay. This wine is ready to be sipped next to your favorite cheese and charcuterie.

Savoie has long been overlooked as a growing region. The region is known for producing a rustic style of wines that rarely see export markets. It is about time that more people have the pleasure of drinking these classic and absolutely delicious wines. The high elevation and cool climate give the grapes grown here the perfect opportunity for slow ripening, that brings a lovely balance to the finished product.

Tasting Notes: 100% Gamay. Light ruby in color, the wine opens with bright aromatic notes of fresh berries. On the palate, the wine is round and lively with very fruity notes at the end.
