About the Wine

Vigneti delle Dolomiti is an IGT located in the Trentino-Alto Adige region, northeast of Italy, right at the border with Switzerland and Austria. This region is known for its dreamlike medieval castles and its delicious wines.

The vineyards from this region enjoy a privileged terroir; and thanks to the altitude, they have an ideal climate with a significant thermal differential between day and night, which allows the perfect development of the grapes.

Among the incredible vineyards that you will find in Trentino-Alto Adige, is the Castelfeder Winery, located right in the town of Cortina. This winery was founded by winemaker Alfons Giovanett back in 1970 and is currently run by the founder's son, Günther Giovanett, his wife Alessandra, and his two children, Iván and Inés.

This family-owned and operated winery is a true gem that combines Italian tradition and culture, producing exquisite, unique, and delicious wines.

Kerner is a lovely and aromatic white grape. It was bred in 1929 by August Herold by crossing Trollinger and Riesling. The wine that results from this grape is pure magic: A fresh, complex, fruity white wine.

2015 was an outstanding vintage for Trentino-Alto Adige. It was blessed with 95 points by Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.

Tasting Notes: 100% Kerner. This powerful white is straw yellow with green nuances; on the nose, complex aromas of lime, peaches, and hints of mango. Wonderfully acidic and fresh on the palate, this is a beautifully structured and versatile wine. Pair this wine with Mediterranean cuisine, seafood, and appetizers.
