They are thoughtful caretakers of that terroir and their vineyards located in San Casciano Val di Pesa that are full of alberese and marl in the soil, managing them under sustainable and organic practices. Since 2018, the vineyards have been BIO-certified.
The Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are hand harvested to pick only the best grapes for this Riserva. They’re sorted through again once they arrive in the cellar, ensuring only the top-quality grapes end up in the wine.
This wine comes from a favorable vintage for Chianti Classico, too. Wine Spectator blessed 2019 as a 95-point vintage, saying the year delivered "balanced reds with finesse and the structure to age." WineCritics.com praised this beautiful red with 92 points. It’s full of juicy raspberry and blackberry fruits with a bit of a spicy undertone.
