About The Wine

The Limestone Coast is a large and diverse region located in southeastern South Australia. It stretches from the eastern end of Kangaroo Island to the border of Victoria. The climate is cool enough to produce wines showcasing their individual characteristics. This cooler climate in combination with lower intervention wine-making techniques gives a finished style that truly lets the fruit shine.

Greg Norman spent the majority of his life pursuing excellence on the golf course. After years of success in the professional Golf scene, Greg has taken his pursuit of greatness to the vineyard. Greg Norman Estates produces wine from grapes grown in Australia, New Zealand, and California. The wines are individually unique in their own way, but the common thread that connects them all is the consistent quality that can be attributed to Greg's competitive spirit. His unyielding approach to both golf and life earned him the nickname, The Great White Shark. Created from a family passion and strengthened by determination, Greg Norman Estates was founded in 1996. A strong believer in the role of wine as part of an active, easygoing lifestyle, Greg’s aim is to produce approachable yet bold wines to be enjoyed by family, fans and wine enthusiasts alike.

Aging: 18 months in seasoned oak barrels and stainless steel prior to bottling

Tasting Notes: 60% Shiraz 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. Lifted aromas of dark cherry, plum, and blackcurrant are complemented by spice and cedar notes. The medium-bodied palate is generous with a rich array of red and dark berry fruit on a well-structured frame. This is a classic red blend of two varieties that always complement each other and produce exceptional wines in the Limestone Coast region.
