About the wine

This wine celebrates the years that have passed since Accardo Guarini, Count of Valesio, in 1114 cultivated his vineyard on the Pìutri estate, as documented in a coeval parchment. Made from carefully selected grapes and harvested in the second week of September, it is vinified in ancient cisterns dug into the cement-plastered cellar floor equipped with temperature control to improve fermentation temperatures.

The Duca di Carlo Guarini estate is a long-standing family farm. The wines come from native Salento vines vinified in red, rosé, and white. All in purity and certified organic, made with competence and sincerity, always looking for the best expression of the land, respecting the environment and consumers.

Tasting Notes: Intense ruby red-colored, the scent is spicy with notes of licorice. On the palate, it is soft, with a good balance between silky tannins and acidity.
