Reviews

A firm, linear red with blackberry and blueberry aromas and flavors. Medium body and very fine, racy tannins. Pretty length to this. Structured. Best of the trilogy? ~94/95 JS

A blend of 96% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc, the 2020 La Cabanne has a deep purple-black color and notes of ripe, juicy black plums, fresh blackberries and black cherry compote, plus hints of star anise, clove oil and sandalwood with a touch of lavender. The medium to full-bodied palate is chock-full of rich, ripe black fruits, supported by velvety tannins and oodles of freshness, finishing long with a spicy kick. ~91-93+ Robert Parker

Lots of ripe, lifted cassis and black cherry fruits as well as spice, licorice, and chocolate notes emerge from the 2020 Château La Cabanne, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a plush, layered texture, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It's certainly an outstanding wine and should be in the same ballpark as the 2016, 2018, and 2019. ~91-93 Jeb Dunnuck
