About the Wine

Established in 1991, Cascina Boschetti Gomba was founded by none other than Sergio Gomba. With his Family's roots in farming the transition to viticulture was a natural one. After purchasing an old farmhouse in Barolo Sergio began producing wine on a small single vineyard in Monforte Today, Cascina Boschetti Gomba manages 49 acres of vines and is committed to producing high-quality wine in one of Italy's most sought after regions!

Cascina Boschetti Gomba is a family affair Sergio his daughter Stefania and nieces Andrea and Giuliana all play a role in helping Sergio produce outstanding wines. Winemaker Maurizio Delpero lets the vineyard and terroir shine through in the wines producing approx. 200,000 bottles annually.

Friendly, approachable, and full of juicy fruit flavor. Barbera produces wines in a wide range of styles from young and fruity to serious, spicy, and age-worthy. Barbera is typically marked by red cherry, raspberry, and blackberry flavors backed by a signature zingy acidity and smooth tannins. Barbera planted in Alba takes on a more powerful, structured personality than that of its counterparts in Asti.

Aging: 12 Months in Large Oak Casts

Tasting Notes: Red Wine. 100% Barbera. In the glass, the wine displays ruby-purple with hints of red. On the nose, the wine is intense and spicy; hints of flowers and fruits along with a prevalence of ripe Marasca cherry. On the palate full, silky, and elegant lead the way for this balance and refined Barbera.
