de Restia is particularly picky with the grapes that make it into this wine. All of the vines in this vineyard are at least 30 years old. While fermenting and ageing, the individual plots are kept separate for complete control of the flavor profile in the finished product. This is an exceptional wine, full of character and ready to drink today.
Ribera del Duero may have only achieved its DO status in the 1980's but the region has essentially been producing wine forever. The area is particularly arid and centered around Duero river. This view of the river is a repeating pattern seen across the majority of great wine-growing regions around the world. These growing conditions have led to some of the most sought-after wines in all of Spain.
