Extremely rare and collectible, this Cabernet Sauvignon is named after Venge Vineyards late founding proprietor, Dianna Lynn “Candy” Venge. The wine represents perfection of growing efforts in the Oakville appellation. Typically limited to mailing clients, we secured a single 3pk in the original wood case (OWC).

Lastly, the flagship 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon DLCV is all Cabernet that will spend 28 months in new high-end French oak. It's similarly inky purple-colored yet has slightly more intensity and complexity, with sensational notes of blackberries, spiced black cherries, dried earth, chocolate, lead pencil, and charcoal. This massively concentrated, rich, layered, and multi-dimensional beauty has loads of sweet tannins, no hard edges, and a finish that won't quit. It's going to need 3-4 years of bottle age and cruise for 2+ decades. ~96-99 JD
A barrel sample, the deep purple-black colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon DLCV is a little youthfully mute to begin, slowly unfurling to reveal beautiful red and black currant, black cherry, kirsch and black raspberry scents with nuances of oolong tea, chargrill, forest floor and unsmoked cigars. Medium to full-bodied with a solid structure of exquisitely ripe, fine-grained tannins, the palate offers incredible intensity and depth with a very long, mineral-laced finish. ~96-99+ WA
