The 2021 Marquis de Terme has an attractive bouquet with blackberry, bilberry, and crushed iris petal scents. The palate is well balanced with sappy black fruit, fine tannins, well-judged acidity, and a sapid finish. This actually punches above my expectations and looks promising. The 2021 Marquis de Terme is inky, vibrant, and super-expressive. Dark fruit, bittersweet chocolate, spice, and licorice are all dialed up. A whole range of floral and savory nuances lingers in the close. Readers will find a Margaux endowed with terrific depth as well as character.
