Reviews

The 2023 Soutard-Cadet is fabulous, Rich, ample and explosive to the core, the 2023 delivers the goods and then some. Blackberry jam, crème de cassis, pencil shavings, licorice and incense infuse the 2023 with tremendous depth and overall intensity. This is a stunning wine by any measure. Superb. Tasted three times. ~93-95 AG-VM

Juicy and succulent red with ripe blackberries and dark cherries, as well as a hint of cedar. Medium-bodied with fine, well-integrated tannins. It’s chewy and lightly salty at the end. ~93-94 JS

The 2023 Soutard-Cadet has a well-defined nose with plenty of red and black fruit intermixed, just a hint of licorice emerging with continued aeration. The palate is quite ripe and generous with a rounded texture, yet it retains balance and delivers a welcome touch of pepperiness toward the finish. Give this a couple of years in bottle, as it is a well-crafted Saint-Émilion laden with fruit. ~90-92 NM-VM
