"The 2008 Barbaresco offers up sweet dark cherries, menthol, licorice and spices. It shows lovely suppleness and density for the year, even if some slightly rough edges remain. The finish is long, focused and fragrant. This could use another year in bottle, but it is a fine effort. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2023.
