Nestled amidst the rolling hills of Montalcino lies Cerbaia, a boutique winery dedicated to producing wines from some of the finest vineyards in the region. Since the 1950s, the Cerbaia property has been in the capable hands of the esteemed Pellegrini family, with winemaking traditions dating back to the 1970s.

Situated on the prestigious Montosoli Hill, renowned as one of the most esteemed crus in the area,Cerbaia encompasses a total of 30 acres of land, with 11 acres falling under the esteemed Brunello appellation today. These meticulously tended vineyards, located on a northeast-facing hillside, boast mature vines that yield a select and limited quantity of the highest quality grapes. From these estate vineyards emerge wines that authentically represent Montalcino's terroir and capture the essence of this remarkable region.

In 2014, fueled by a deep passion for wine and a profound love for her native land, Elena Pellegrini made the bold decision to leave behind a promising career in corporate finance and immerse herself in her family's estate. With unwavering dedication, Elena endeavors to craft wines that epitomize the traditional Montalcino style, characterized by elegance, balance, and uncompromising standards. Building upon her father Fabio's legacy of minimal intervention winemaking and commitment to sustainable practices, Elena embraces the art of winemaking with patience, tenacity, and a singular focus.

Today, Elena collaborates with the esteemed winemaker G. Gorelli, a very respected winemaker in Tuscany who’s also known as “The Great Master of Sangiovese.”

With only 18,000 bottles produced annually, the 2019 Cerbaia Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is a rare gem coveted by wine enthusiasts worldwide. Don't miss your chance to own a piece of Montalcino's rich winemaking heritage.

Reviews

So floral and fresh with rose stem, sandalwood and orange blossom. Cherries, too. Full-bodied yet reserved and held back with creamy fine tannins and a beautiful finish. Shows brightness and finesse. Silky texture. One of the best I have had from here. A Brunello that emphasizes purity of fruit. Give this three to four years more. ~98 James Suckling
