"Frisson" is a French term that captures a moment of pure excitement, a thrilling rush that awakens the senses. This word echoes through Frisson wines, its story, and its philosophy. It's an invitation to a journey that blends strength with elegance, boldness with finesse – and the result is this wine.

The Frisson story begins with a shared dream between owner Terry Davis and winemaker Wayne Donaldson when they united their vision to craft exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon. Driven by their passion, they ventured into winemaking, determined to create wines that embody Napa Valley's magic.

Terry's journey from dreaming about wine to actually creating it highlights his strong determination. After retiring, he enthusiastically embraced winemaking, turning his dreams into reality. 

Wayne Donaldson’s global winemaking journey led him to Napa Valley. His dedication to crafting wines mirroring vineyard character makes him a heart of Frisson. He works hand in hand with Paul Colantuoni, a very talented winemaker who blends Old World sophistication with New World exuberance. His extensive experience in both Europe and the US shaped his uniqueness.

2021 is looking to be one of the vintages of the decade. Vinous Media blessed this year with a 95-98 point score, and said: "Two thousand twenty-one is a fabulous vintage in Napa Valley. That’s the good news. The not so good news is that production is down sharply, 30-50% in many cases. The wines have tremendous energy as well as finesse. In tasting, the 2021s show some of the savory intensity of other drought vintages – 2013 and 2014 come to mind – but with more aromatic explosiveness and greater inner sweetness."

Tasting Notes: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Blackberry, blueberry, and black currant, paired with subtle hints of huckleberry, gardenia, and iris. Enhanced by cedar, pipe tobacco, graphite, and anise seed undertones, each sip offers a simple yet elegant experience
