About the Wine

Step into the world of ICON, a wine that tells a story of Napa Valley like no other. Crafted from carefully selected grapes coming from celebrated vineyards, each with its unique personality and flavor profile, ICON is a true masterpiece of winemaking.  With its limited availability and small production, this wine assembles the very best of Napa's terroir into a singular, richly layered, and perfectly balanced experience that will leave you breathless.

Renowned winemaker Julien Fayard uses his expertise to produce wines that express pure, terroir-driven specificities and characteristics. Julien gained his knowledge and defined his core winemaking style from working at grand Chateaux in France such as Lafite Rothschild and Smith Haut Lafitte.

Beau Vigne flies under the radar as a “hidden gem” and small boutique winery producing only a few thousand cases a year. Fans and critics alike flock to the winery for its outstanding wines and genuine hospitality including famed critic Robert Parker who refers to Beau Vigne as “one of my favorite wineries.”

Beau Vigne’s wines are highly esteemed and cherished among some of the world’s most important winemakers, and they have achieved numerous high-accolades. Today, they are considered among Napa Valley’s most acclaimed wines.

Aging: 17 months in 100% French oak with 45% new oak.

Tasting Notes66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc, 7% Petit Verdot. The wine pours a deep garnet color, with intense aromas of black cherry, cassis, and blackberry, layered with hints of vanilla, mocha, and toasty oak. On the palate, the wine is rich and full-bodied, with firm tannins and a mouthwatering acidity that gives it structure and length. The finish is long and satisfying, leaving behind a trail of dark fruit and vanilla that lingers on the tongue. This is a powerful and complex wine that is drinking beautifully now but will also age gracefully for years to come.

A small production blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Cab Franc, and Petit Verdot. Opulent and luscious, with a creamy base of blueberry pie and dark chocolate. Tannins are round and subject to a weaving of dark cherry. The wine finishes with a wash of coffee cedar. ~94 Tasting Panel Magazine
