About the Wine

"To make wine in Marsala commands a great respect of its bicentenary tradition. It binds us to the story that has become legend. This Marsala is proudly ours, because it is the nobler fruit of our earth and is a continual discovery to those who gladly yield to the emotion of greeting a great wine. The wine itself will guide you through the decision on when and how to drink it. There are no rules when it comes down to pleasure!" ~ Owners, Giovanna & Rosanna.

Nestled near the historic town of Marsala, this winery's story is a captivating tale of tradition, innovation, and familial passion.

In the mid-1900s, Nino Caruso dared to chart a new course, transitioning from grape grower to winemaker, igniting a legacy that continues to thrive today. Fast forward to 2004, where Stefano Caruso and Mario Minini joined forces, merging their expertise to launch the modern-day marvel that is Caruso & Minini.

At the heart of this enchanting winery lies an ancient "Baglio," a testament to the region's rich winemaking heritage. Here, amidst the whispering barrels and sun-kissed vineyards, a team of dedicated artisans craft each bottle with meticulous care, ensuring that every sip embodies the essence of Sicilian tradition.

The Caruso e Minini Marsala Secco 5 Anni 500ml is aged for five years, this dry Marsala is a symphony of flavors, boasting notes of sun-ripened fruits and a tantalizing minerality that dances on the palate. Crafted from indigenous Sicilian varietals, this wine is a true reflection of its terroir.

With 120 hectares of vineyards, including 5 hectares dedicated to organic farming, Caruso & Minini continues to push the boundaries of winemaking. From the sun-drenched hills of Giumarella to the fertile valley bottoms of Cutaja, each grapevine is meticulously tended, ensuring the highest quality fruit for every bottle.

A nutty and intense Marsala with salty undertones to the dried fruit, such as figs and sultanas. Some nuttiness, too. Full-bodied, dry and so rich. Lots of dried yet subtle fruit and salted caramel on the palate. Fascinating and enticing. Drink now. ~94 James Suckling
