2015 was an extraordinary vintage for Bordeaux. Wine Spectator and Vinous Media blessed this year with a 97-point review. Vinous said: "Bordeaux enjoyed its strongest vintage in a number of years in 2015. The 2015s are spectacularly rich, racy wines loaded with personality."

The nose is fruity gourmand, relatively gourmand and offers a small freshness and richness. It reveals notes of cherry, cassis, and cassis bud associated with a hint of blackberry. The palate is fruity, gourmand, mineral, well built, precise, relatively fat, and offers a beautiful fruit as well as a beautiful and a bit silky matter. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of red fruit (cherry, raspberry) combined with touches of blackberry, cassis, and cassis buds as well as a hint of licorice, coffee, and dark chocolate powder. Tannins are fine and elegant. Good length and persistence with slight notes of hazelnut and slightly toasted notes. ~92 VertdeVin

From the team at Tertre Rôteboeuf and based on 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc brought up in new barrels, the 2015 Domaine de Cambes is a serious, age-worthy wine from the Côtes de Bourg appellation, which is located on the right bank, north of Fronsac and along the river. Possessing more depth of fruit compared to the 2015, with loads of darker fruits, toasted bread, and graphite, it hits the palate with medium-bodied richness, good concentration, and a firm, structured, focused style. Plush on the palate, with silky tannins and no hard edges, the 2015 will drink well with minimal cellaring. This is another heady, exotically rich 2015 from Francois Mitjavile. The medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Domaine de Cambes opens with lovely red and black currants, spicy plums and blueberries with touches of pencil lead, tobacco and Indian spices.
