About The Wine

Chateau Cormeil-Figeac has been farmed by the Moreaud family since 1900. The estate's parcels sit on the clay-limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion's prized eastern flank — the same geological foundation that produces some of the right bank's most coveted wines, including its neighbor, Pavie. This is real Saint-Émilion Grand Cru classification, not a marketing label.

The 2020 vintage was a benchmark year for right-bank Merlot — concentrated, structured, age-worthy. Decanter awarded 96 points; James Suckling 92; Wine Enthusiast 91. Drinking beautifully now with a 45-minute decant; will continue evolving for another decade-plus.
