About The Wine

Domaine de la Vieille Julienne sits on the northern fringe of Chateauneuf-du-Pape, where Jean-Paul and Clémence Daumen farm biodynamically across some of the most coveted parcels in the southern Rhône. 'Les Petites Parcelles' is what happens when CDP-pedigree fruit gets declassified into a Côtes du Rhône bottling — the same hands, the same soil, the same farming, at a fraction of the grand cuvée price.

The 2022 vintage delivered warm, generous southern Rhône wine — concentrated dark fruit, structured but expressive, the kind of bottle that drinks beautifully now and rewards a 20-minute carafe wake-up.

CRITIC REVIEWS

What the Critics Said

The wine evokes a delicate, gourmand bouquet of iris, dark cherries, tapenade and dark wild berries mingled with delicate notes of seared meats, freshly cracked pepper and Provençal herbs. Medium to full-bodied, supple and lively, it has a soft frame of fine tannins and a long, peppery finish. ~92 WA
