This has a solid core of fruit, showing blackberry, chocolate and spice. Medium to full body and juicy fruit. Hint of terra-cotta. ~94-95 JS

The 2023 La Croix de Gay is a potent, brooding Pomerol. Black cherry, plum, gravel, incense, licorice, tobacco, gravel and scorched earth lend notable somber intensity. I find the 2023 rather rustic today, in both its flavor profile and rough, large-scale tannins. This barrel sample shows some reduction as well. ~87-89 AG-VM
