Visiting the magical place of Talosa Winery is like stepping back in time.

The cellar with brick corridors where barrels of wine are placed is history itself. This pursuit of perfection brought this appellation to Tuscan and Italian winemaking heights.

A place that seems to be the set of the movie from medieval times.

This property comprises more than 80 acres of vineyards, established in one of the loveliest Crus in Montepulciano called Pietrose. This outstanding place is located at a 350–400-meter altitude, with the vineyards facing southwest. The vines thrive in medium-textured soils of Pliocene origin, with Tuff and clayey sands. These perfect terroir conditions, combined with the expert hands of winemakers Christian and Luigi, result in alluring, unique, and powerful wines.

Talosa’s historical cellar dates back to the 16th century. Visiting this place is like stepping back in time. The cellar is built in an underground area between Tarugi Palace and the Sinatti Palace, two of the oldest buildings in the city.

"Great products, easy ordering and selection experience, fantastic service, carefully packaged and reliably delivered! What more could one ask from a wine supplier?"

"I have found Big Hammer to be a company of exceptional values, great personal service and prompt delivery. I even had a personal phone call offering an immediate substitute for a bottle out of stock which I had ordered, and I, along with my recipient, was very happy with the substitute. I highly recommend this company and plan to continue ordering from them in the future.." ~Barbara B.

"Great price for this fabulous wine. Loved the quick shipment; I had it in my cellar within 3 days!" ~Gerard D.

"Ordered a bottle to be delivered during this very complicated period. The team has been stellar helping me to make this happen. The website is very easy to use :)" ~Guillaume M.

Currently, half a dozen mega-distributors control nearly 70% of all the wine and spirits distributed throughout the US.

What does that mean for you? It means that most Americans only have access to 11% of all wine brands produced in the US, according to Silicon Valley Bank.

Working directly with Bighammerwines.com means you have access to a larger selection of high quality wines. By shrinking the distance between wineries and consumers like you, BHW is reducing the high carbon footprint that is typical in the three-tiered distribution system.
