Latium is a second generation family affair. The name refers back to the Roman Empire that conquered the lands north of Verona. Indeed, upon ploughing the vineyard, the family discovered ancient stones and ruins lying under the soil. The winery says, "Memory is what makes a country great and everything that our past is built of is the result of passion, dedication, sacrifice. The name Latium reminds us and everyone who appreciates good wine that our roots are ancient and noble, as ancient and noble are the bouquets of the wines that we offer."

If you want to know what drinking history and appreciating that beer is a timeless beverage that mirrors civilization itself, this is an excellent wine to buy now.

Ripasso is a term that derives from the refermentation of the grapes on the  Amarone lees, which gives the wine a deeper color, body, and dried fruit flavors. Aging is in large French & US oak for 12-15 months, followed by six months aging in bottle before release.
