50% Merlot, 50% Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso. Colour: Deep ruby red colour. Elegant and fruity bouquet at first glance, blackcurrant and morello cherry, balsamic and tobacco emerge later and lend complexity. Intense palate wine with fine tannins and elegant intriguing freshness and pleasantness, soft, with long, lingering finish.

This is a fantastic red. Best ever from here. Iodine, oyster-shell, black-olive and blackberry character. Full-bodied, layered and chewy, yet polished and intense. Needs two or three years to soften. Available in December 2019. Try from 2021. ~95 James Suckling
