2022 was an exceptional vintage, marked by a small harvest and beautifully healthy grapes thanks to a dry, harmonious growing season that delivered wines with remarkable concentration and structure.
This commitment to excellence aligns perfectly with Errázuriz’s philosophy. The estate strives to craft the finest wines by controlling every stage of production—from meticulous grape growing in the Aconcagua, Casablanca, and Curicó valleys to gentle, natural winemaking practices. With an emphasis on precision and delicacy, Errázuriz consistently produces wines of elegance, depth, and complexity. This dynamism and passion have cemented its reputation as one of the most respected producers in the world.
The story began in 1870, when Don Maximiano Errázuriz founded the estate in the foothills of Mount Aconcagua. Recognizing the valley’s potential—its hot, dry summers balanced by cooling Pacific breezes—he imported elite French clones and transformed a barren landscape into a world-class vineyard. Today, that pioneering spirit lives on under the leadership of his descendant, Eduardo Chadwick, who continues to elevate the estate’s global prestige.
Among Errázuriz’s standout creations is the 2022 Chardonnay Aconcagua Costa (formerly Wild Ferment Chardonnay), widely regarded as one of South America’s greatest white wines.
The winery ferments its finest Chardonnay lots using native yeasts, a slower process that allows the yeast populations to build naturally and produce unique flavor compounds—resulting in a wine of striking complexity, texture, and character.
