That philosophy finds a natural home in Meursault Premier Cru, one of Burgundy’s most celebrated white wine appellations and long admired for its ability to combine richness with precision. Les Gouttes d’Or, the first Premier Cru encountered when leaving the village of Meursault toward Puligny-Montrachet, takes its name from the vineyard’s distinctive flint-rich soils, where stones shaped and colored like drops of gold are scattered throughout the parcel. These flints do more than sparkle in the sun. They bring structure, depth, and a subtle mineral tension that defines the wine’s character.

2022 Louis Latour Les Gouttes d’Or Meursault Premier Cru opens with a bright, pale yellow hue, offering floral aromas of honeysuckle layered with soft vanilla. On the palate, the wine is full and rounded, revealing notes of acacia honey and toasted almonds, carried by balance and length rather than weight. The finish is poised and persistent, a hallmark of classic Meursault Premier Cru Chardonnay built to evolve gracefully over time.

This is age-worthy Burgundy Chardonnay at its most expressive, shaped by place, tradition, and a quiet confidence that has endured for generations.

A very succulent, mouth-filling Meursault that flows so gracefully over the medium- to full-bodied palate. Wonderful aromas of honeysuckle and ripe stone fruit.
