About the Wine
Nothing—and we mean NOTHING—has knocked this wine off our #1 value Super Tuscan throne for five straight years.
While others drop $100+ on overhyped bottles, wine insiders keep crushing this European critics' darling that just landed exclusively through us. This wine is the Super Tuscan that makes others look overpriced—delivering premium Sangiovese/Bordeaux quality without breaking the bank.
Fair warning: this wine makes you the star of every dinner party. Whether you're drinking it alone or with Italian food—doesn't matter, because this bottle impresses everyone. Carefully hand-harvested grapes meet perfect oak aging in what might be the most balanced wine you'll ever taste. It's smooth and velvety yet powerful and structured, combining Sangiovese elegance with Cabernet strength. Amazing berry flavors and that clean finish work with any Italian dish, but honestly? This wine tastes so good you might forget about food completely.
Corte Medicea is the Tuscan project that's turning heads. This distinguished estate operates under La Bollina, a renowned Piedmontese trading company that knows serious wine. They're not chasing trends or playing it safe—they're making wines with serious character that hit different. Sitting pretty on rolling hills with perfect clay-loam soils at 380-400 meters in southern Tuscany, their vineyards are in the sweet spot where magic happens.
Their celebrated consultant Andrea Bernardini is absolutely legit. This winemaking master has experience spanning Tuscany, South Africa, Romania, and Greece—trained at big-name estates like Poggio Bonelli and Ruffino and took his skills global across continents. He knows how to blend old-school Tuscan tradition with modern innovation to create wines that actually taste amazing and cost way less than they should. This is your chance to get premium Tuscan wine before everyone else figures it out. Trust us—you'll want multiple bottles of this one.
Aging: 6 months in oak barrels of second and third passage (225 lt) and the rest of the time in bottle.
Tasting Notes
50% Sangiovese, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine showcases a beautiful blend of red and black fruits with a light herbal tinge to liven up the nose. On the palate, the wine is rich and approachable, with great Cabernet characteristics without being overbearing.
