When it comes to high-quality Cab Franc, the Saumur-Champigny region is at the top of its game. Saumur-Champigny is a red wine appellation of Saumur in central Loire, that’s gotten a lot of notoriety in recent years thanks to its high-quality reds made up of Cabernet Franc. The wines from this region are fresh and unique, characterized by crisp acidity and berry fruit flavors.
Crafted on a legendary estate dating back to 1850, this wine is the real deal, made by Thierry and Marie Germain, who’ve been pushing boundaries since they took over in 1991.
From Cabernet Franc to Chenin Blanc, their passion for the vines and the land is unmatched.
What makes this wine so special? For starters, the Franc de Pied vines— where the grapes are grown on their own roots, no rootstock involved. These vines connect directly with the earth, soaking up all the rich minerals and producing a wine that’s got depth, character, and a bit of attitude.

Aging: 8 to 10 months of aging in vats.

100% Cabernet Franc. Aromas of red and black fruits, notes of mint and green peppers, a hint of licorice. Fine tannins, seductive texture. Beautiful elegance and purity.
