About the Wine
This wine comes from Finca Piedra Infinita located in the Paraje de Altamira in La Consulta, where the Zuccardi family is a pioneer; they arrived when there were no other vines planted. Little by little, they have shown through their wines the greatness of Altamira’s terroir. Sebastian Zuccardi says: “We got there by intuition, driven by the landscape. Cultivating this vineyard implies studying, working, and knowing each row, each stone. Exploring its enormous diversity to be able to interpret it through wine. An authentic mountain wine ”.
The surname Zuccardi has a well-deserved reputation in the wine industry worldwide. This family is not only responsible for producing some of the best Argentinian wines, but they also have the best wine tourism experience in the entire world: For the third consecutive year, Zuccardi Valle de Uco has been named "The Best Vineyard in the World" by the recognized magazine and digital media company, William Reed Business Medi.
This family business founded by engineer Alberto Zuccardi in 1963, has 6 different estates strategically placed in some of the best wine-growing areas of Mendoza. Today, it is directed by Sebastián Zuccardi, Alberto's grandson.
Sebastián is a visionary and innovative agronomist and winemaker who has made great strides and improvements since he took over the winery. Among other important achievements, he started and promoted a department of research and development that studies the terroir of the region, in order to better understand the land and improve the quality of their wines. Sebastian says: "We don’t look for perfect wines, but those that express the place, the region”.
The winery was built in 2013 and is a tribute to the majestic Andes mountains that surround it. Zuccardi Wines is sustainable in all aspects, from the vineyard to the cellar and even the architecture, where the construction is made with natural elements from the area. The wines are vinified in basins and amphoras allowing a more natural result and with the least possible human intervention.
Polígonos is a series of single-grape wines that truly represent the unique qualities of the towns they come from. Each town gives its name to the vineyards, creating a rich and deep connection to the local geography, climate, social, historical, and economic aspects.

Critical Reviews
Zuccardi has approximately 120 hectares of vineyards in Paraje Altamira, of which approximately 100 hectares are Malbec. This is a selection from those vineyards. The wine is whole-bunch fermented and aged in concrete, without oak. It reflects the character of the location, the stony soils, and the mountainous altitude, which translates here into firm tannins, sharp acidity, and ripe red fruits combined with floral notes. This red wine displays profound flavors, and while the fruit is irresistible now, it's a Malbec that will gain in complexity with time. ~95 Descorchados Magazine
A deep malbec with tons of black and blue berries, hints of black pepper, oyster sauce and violets. Full-bodied and flavorful on the palate with ample, tight but caressing tannins. Powerful, concentrated and compact. Drink now or hold. ~94 James Suckling
~ 93 Wine & Spirits Magazine
A youthful red punctuated by fresh violet and hibiscus notes, but with a concentrated berry core and a wave of fresh mineral acidity chiming in, keeping things fresh and focused. Drink now through 2033. 4,000 cases made, 2,400 cases imported. ~90 Wine Spectator
