About the Wine
Founded in 1729, Ruinart is the oldest established House of Champagne, and its style has always been clear. Precision first. Freshness always. At the center of every blend sits Chardonnay, the thread that defines Ruinart’s signature and gives its wines their clarity and lift.
Ruinart Brut Rosé brings that Chardonnay-driven freshness together with the depth of Pinot Noir. The blend draws from 25 to 30 Premier Cru vineyards across the Côte des Blancs, Montagne de Reims, and Sézannais, where chalk-rich soils shape the wine’s tension and mineral edge. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel to preserve purity, followed by two to three years on the lees, building texture without weight.
The final composition balances Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims (45%) with Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne, split between white vinification (43%) and red wine (12%) for color, structure, and subtle spice.
The result is a Rosé Champagne that feels composed rather than showy. Fresh, layered, and quietly expressive, with fine bubbles, a smooth mid-palate, and a finish that stays clean and precise. This is Ruinart Rosé doing what it does best. Balance over drama. Elegance you notice more with every sip.
ABV: 12.5%
Tasting Notes
45% Chardonnay, 43% Pinot Noir and 12% red wine.
The first lift brings pomegranate, lychee, and guava, followed by rose and fresh red berries. As the bubbles settle, warm notes of tonka bean and nutmeg come through, adding depth without weight.
Bright and precise from the start, with fine bubbles carrying the wine across the palate. The texture stays smooth and controlled, finishing clean with pink grapefruit and a cool touch of peppermint.
Critical Reviews
A spicy wine with singed bread and bark, as well as strawberries and cherries. Light-bodied, it has a tight-knit structure with zesty acidity and a long, refreshing finish. Very precise and polished. Drink now. ~ 93 James Suckling
Well-cut acidity is a refreshing sweep in this refined, sculpted rosé Champagne. Frames flavors of white peach, dried white cherry, raspberry coulis and salted Marcona almond as they ride the satiny mousse alongside accents of oyster shell, pickled ginger and lemon thyme. A streak of chalky minerality emerges to drive the finish. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Drink now through 2030. ~ 93 Wine Spectator
Light orange. Sharply focused red berry and tangerine scents are complicated by suggestions of allspice and cinnamon, with a hint of smokiness in the background. Sappy and minerally on the palate, offering fresh strawberry and blood orange flavors lifted by juicy acidity. Packs a serious punch but carries no excess weight and finishes stony and very long with echoing red berry character. ~ 92 Vinous Media
