Reviews

A firm, chewy red with polished tannins and a solid depth of fruit. Full and deep with a beautiful texture and layers of fruit and tannins. ~93-94 James Suckling

Composed of 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 10% Malbec, aging for around 15 months in French oak barrels, 50% new, the 2020 Clos Junet has an alcohol of 14.5%. Deep purple-black colored, it delivers beautifully pure notes of crushed blueberries, black raspberries and fresh black cherries, plus suggestions of pencil shavings, violets and cinnamon stick. The medium to full-bodied palate has a sturdy structure of grainy tannins and just enough freshness to lift the savory-laced black fruits on the finish. ~91-93 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

The deep purple-hued 2020 Château Clos Junet is another solid, possibly outstanding wine from this estate. Mulled cherries, plums, chocolate, and Asian spice notes define the bouquet, and it’s medium to full-bodied, with good ripeness, plenty of tannins, and a character-filled, impressive style to enjoy over the coming 10-12+ years. ~90-92 Jeb Dunnuck
