2019 was a fabulous year for Napa Valley Cabernet. Wine Spectator awarded this year a 97-point score, and Vinous Media gave it 96 points saying that "The 2019 Napa Valley Cabernets have turned out beautifully. 2019 is a very high-quality vintage of Cabernets that will be easy to drink and enjoy with minimal cellaring. The extra kick of late heat softened the tannins, making the wines a pleasure to taste and drink."

This wine is ready to drink TODAY, however, if you're patient enough, we recommend indulging in this delightful Cabernet over the next 5-8 years, allowing its flavors to evolve and mature into an even more extraordinary experience.

Aging: 22 months in oak barrels.

Tasting Notes: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Intense and concentrated, big and expressive, with layers of ripe currant, plum, sage, pencil lead, and black cherry, all flowing rather seamlessly. Tightly focused, this is rich without being heavy, ending with a long, persistent finish.

Reviews

Dried fruit with treacle tart, dried berries and some currants on the nose. Don’t let that put you off. It’s full-bodied, dense and linear with serious length and depth at the end. Tight and solid. Firm tannins. Give it time to open. Better after 2025. ~92 James Suckling

The deep purple-hued 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve offers a big, uber-ripe, yet still pure nose of blue fruits, plums, licorice, and roasted herbs. With full-bodied richness and tons of texture, it pushes on the ripeness scale but holds it together. It has lots to like and is unquestionably a big mouthful of sexy Napa Cabernet fruit. ~91 Jeb Dunnuck

Showing a bit more herbal nuance than the 2018, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve offers up scents of cassis and tobacco. Full-bodied, supple, and easy to drink, it adds hints of mint on the silky finish. Drink it over the next five to eight years. ~90 Robert Parker
