About the Wine

Domaine de Carteyron is located at the foot of Gassin, classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France. The family property of Marie-Louise Roux, who is nicknamed Malyse, is managed using sustainable farming practices. This wine is produced by Les Maitres Vignerons de la Presqu'ile de Saint-Tropez, which is a cooperative winery in Provence with more than 800 members. It is one of the most important wineries in Cotes de Provence.

Located in a quarry, the grapes greatly benefit from granite and gneiss soil. Providing mouthwatering minerality that is further elevated by the use of the Rolle grape, found in only 5% of rosé production in Provence. The vine's proximity to the sea brings a cooling breeze. Ensuring a slow ripening of the grapes and preserving the acidity which is essential for great rosé.

While drinking this wine begs you to kick back and relax, the process behind this rosé is quite the opposite. Harvest crews are out in the vineyards at 4 AM hand-picking fruit to ensure optimal freshness only achieved by harvesting when the vines are cool.

Collecting only free-run juice and first pressings ensures bitterness from the seeds and skins is not introduced into this delicate wine. The result is a tantalizingly refreshing glass of wine perfect for serving as an apéritif or with brie and charcuterie, oysters, salads, and practically any Mediterranean dish.

Blend: Grenache, Syrah, Rolle (Vermentino)

Tasting Notes: A fine crystalline pink. The nose reveals mouthwatering aromas of citrus and white flowers on wet stone. Offering trademark freshness with an elegant finish.
