About the Wine

This wine comes from Finca Piedra Infinita located in the Paraje de Altamira in La Consulta, where the Zuccardi family is a pioneer; they arrived when there were no other vines planted. Little by little, they have shown through their wines the greatness of Altamira’s terroir. Sebastian Zuccardi says: “We got there by intuition, driven by the landscape. Cultivating this vineyard implies studying, working, and knowing each row, and each stone. Exploring its enormous diversity to be able to interpret it through wine. An authentic mountain wine ”.

The surname Zuccardi has a well-deserved reputation in the wine industry worldwide. This family is not only responsible for producing some of the best Argentinian wines, but they also have the best wine tourism experience in the entire world: For the third consecutive year, Zuccardi Valle de Uco has been named "The Best Vineyard in the World" by the recognized magazine and digital media company, William Reed Business Medi.

This family business founded by engineer Alberto Zuccardi in 1963, has 6 different estates strategically placed in some of the best wine-growing areas of Mendoza. Today, it is directed by Sebastián Zuccardi, Alberto's grandson.

Sebastián is a visionary and innovative agronomist and winemaker who has made great strides and improvements since he took over the winery. Among other important achievements, he started and promoted a department of research and development that studies the terroir of the region, in order to better understand the land and improve the quality of their wines. Sebastian says: "We don’t look for perfect wines, but those that express the place, the region”.

The winery was built in 2013 and is a tribute to the majestic Andes mountains that surround it. Zuccardi Wines is sustainable in all aspects, from the vineyard to the cellar and even the architecture, where the construction is made with natural elements from the area. The wines are vinified in basins and amphoras allowing a more natural result and with the least possible human intervention.

The Q Series are single-grape wines sourced from carefully chosen vineyards in the finest regions of Mendoza. Each vineyard is harvested individually and at distinct intervals to craft a wine of ultimate grace and harmony. Zuccardi Q is a very special line for the family. When the project began, the finest plots of each wine were marked with a "Q," which referred to quality, indicating that those were unique parcels that required special attention.

Aging: 50% of the wine is fermented and aged in oak barrels French 500 liters used, untoasted. The remaining 50% is aged in concrete vessels.

Reviews

Creamy nose with some smoke, green apple, and lemon aromas. A textured chardonnay with fresh acidity and brightness to the fruit. Drink now. ~92 James Suckling

A fresh and lively expression of Chardonnay, with aromas of white fruits and flowers in a light body, with rich acidity and floral tones that appear strongly towards the finish. This comes from vineyards in the Uco Valley, mainly from Gualtallary and El Peral, both in Tupungato towards the north of the valley. ~90 Descorchados
