About the Wine

“Barolo is more than one of the world's great wines and a partner to one of Italy's most varied and refined cuisines. It's an evocative landscape of gently rolling hills covered by a quilt of vineyards and topped by medieval villages with winding cobblestone streets and views to the Alps.” ~ Wine Spectator.

Barolo is meant to age. This stunning 20-year-old Barolo is at its perfect drinking time. It has developed an exceptional character and complexity. With its multi-layered bouquet of dried roses, leather, and truffles, it exudes an alluring aroma that captivates the senses. On the palate, the flavors have evolved from ripe cherries to dried fruits and savory notes, while velvety tannins provide a luxurious mouthfeel.

With every sip, this aged Barolo reveals the culmination of years of maturation, offering a truly unforgettable tasting experience for those fortunate enough to indulge.

The Damilano winery's success rests on three pillars: the land, the legacy, and the people. With a prime location in the Langhe Hills, it has become a renowned destination for wine enthusiasts worldwide.

Damilano is a historic cellar in Barolo, with origins dating back to 1890. Under the guidance of Giacomo Damilano, the winery gained its current name and experienced remarkable growth. Today, his grandchildren lead the company with innovation and a commitment to preserving the family's legacy.

Damilano's success is deeply intertwined with respect for the land. Sustainability is at the core of their ethos, encompassing both environmental and social responsibility. The winery's dedication to its terroir ensures the production of exceptional wines while fostering a harmonious relationship with the community. Territory and people are the foundation of Damilano's values, allowing them to create remarkable wines that captivate even the most demanding palates.

Lecinquevigne’s means “the 5 vines.” The grape to produce this wine comes from 5 different vineyards.

Aging: Aged for at least three years in oak barrels.

Tasting Notes: 100% Nebbiolo. Barolo Lecinquevigne is characterized by a ruby red color with orange reflections and an intense bouquet of evolved notes of rose, leather, and tobacco, from which emerges a hint of violet and goudron. On the palate it is broad and enveloping; sensations of softness prevail in the mouth, with a long and persistent taste.
