Pure Primitivo from the Tormaresca estate, Torcicoda takes its name from the manor farm that winds through pine forests and olive groves. This variety is perfectly suited to Salento’s clay and limestone soils, and when its abundant clustering is limited by pruning, it expresses itself as rich structured wines with intense aromas and notes of red fruits, tobacco, Mediterranean vegetation, and medicinal herbs, the latter responsible for the delicately bitter aftertaste typical of the variety.

Ruby red core shins through the glass, On the nose, the wine opens up with notes of plums and blackberries accompany delicate nuances of violets and roses, well-balancing sensations of licorice and anisette. On the palate, the wine is soft, followed by elegant tannins and a very balanced finish and aftertaste.
Well-balanced and fresh, this medium-bodied red features a thread of ground spice that underscores flavors of crushed black raspberry, cherry, thyme, and red licorice.
