About the Wine

The wine is a true masterpiece from a historic California estate. One of the first “CULT” status wineries dating back to the 1800’s, and gaining popularity with Orropas in the 90’s!!

St. Clement Vineyards has been a cornerstone of Napa Valley's winemaking heritage for over a century. Founded by Fritz Rosenbaum, a visionary stained-glass artist turned vintner, this historic estate has been crafting exceptional wines since its inception.

Nestled amidst the picturesque landscapes of Napa Valley, St. Clement's vineyards span a tapestry of microclimates, from the rugged slopes of Diamond Mountain District to the sun-drenched valleys of Rutherford. Each grape is carefully selected to capture the unique essence of Knights Valley, renowned for its bold and expressive wines.

In 2016, Huneeus Wines stepped up to the plate, adding St. Clement Vineyards to their lineup. You might know them as the brains behind Quintessa winery, also in Napa Valley.

2019 was a fabulous year for Napa Valley. Wine Spectator awarded this year a 97-point score, and Vinous Media gave it 96 points saying that "

The 2019 Napa Valley Cabernets have turned out beautifully. 2019 is a very high-quality vintage of Cabernets that will be easy to drink and enjoy with minimal cellaring. The extra kick of late heat softened the tannins, making the wines a pleasure to taste and drink."

Aging: Around 18 months in oak barrels.

Tasting Notes: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2019 St. Clement Johanna Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a testament to the artistry and dedication of the winemaking team. With its harmonious blend of flavors – from luscious blackcurrant to velvety dark cherry – this wine is a true expression of excellence.
