A clarity of fruit and good balance align with very fine tannins that run the length of the wine. Medium to full body. Very tight, refined and persistent on the finish. May be better than 2022. ~95-96 JS

The 2023 Le Bon Pasteur is a sensual, layered wine. Dark cherry, plum, licorice, chocolate, spice, menthol and dried herbs all build nicely. The blend is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, vinified in equal parts barrel and tank. The fruit comes rom a collection of 30 micro-parcels, most of them on the Saint-Émilion/Pomerol border.
