About the Wine

Among Rose, Provence sits on top of the quality pyramid. Within Provence there is a Cru system seperating the wheat from the chaffe. Of the 600 producers in the appellation, only 18 currently active estates were deemed worthy of Cru Classe. Today Cahteau Roubine produces exceptional wine, and is able to perfectly capture the mediteranean spirit that we all expect from Provencal rose.

Chateau Roubine has existed since the 1300s, changing hands through branching in the inheritence the estate ended up fairly fragmented. In the 1920's the estate was fully reunited by Henri de Rohan Chabot, only to lease the vineyards to Domaine Ott. You know the quality of grape is there, if one of the leading estates of the region is willing to pay good money to use them in their wine. 

Today Chateau Roubine covers 130 hectares, including 72 hectares of vines, and excels through an optimal combination of advanced technology and the scrupulous application of the rules of sustainable agriculture.

Blend: Cinsault, Grenache, Tibouren, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Rolle (Vermentino)

Tasting Notes: A beautiful rosé of pale fruit, fresh and balanced. The fruit is crunchy on the nose (clementine). Intense freshness and great aromatic elegance in this blend of Grenache and Syrah. It is a wine of indulgence and pleasure. At the same time mineral, lively, complex and elegant.
