About the wine

La Mission Haut Brion has been a renowned estate since the days of Thomas Jefferson, and there’s a reason why! Unlike other estates, La Mission Haut Brion gives their second-label wine the same careful vineyard management and rigorous winemaking as their premier wine, making La Chappelle a standout even amongst other Classified Bordeaux. The warm and steady 2015 vintage is already being praised as a legendary year, and this wine shows exemplifies the vintage a single sip! Intensely crimson in the glass, this medley of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc is rich with savory herbs, black pepper, cedar, and tobacco in a true Old World style. Red currant, cranberry and florals round out the full-bodied wine, which is sure to be long-lived and only improve over time.
