Gritos Estate Malbec is a reflection of Mendoza’s rich winemaking heritage. Produced by Otero Ramos Winery, this 2021 Malbec comes from Luján de Cuyo, a region renowned for its high-altitude vineyards and the first in Argentina to receive a Denomination of Origin (DOC) for Malbec. At the heart of this wine is the vision of Otero Ramos Winery, a family-run estate founded by Manuel Otero Ramos. Inspired by the great wine regions of Spain, France, Italy, and California, he set out to create wines that honor Mendoza’s exceptional terroir. Situated 900 meters above sea level, the winery blends tradition with modern techniques to produce wines that are both expressive and elegant. With over 40 internationally recognized wines, Otero Ramos Winery continues to showcase the depth and complexity that define the region’s Malbecs.

Mendoza itself is the heart of Argentina’s wine industry, responsible for nearly 70% of the country’s production. Nestled against the Andes Mountains, the region benefits from warm days, cool nights, and well-drained, mineral-rich soils. 100% Malbec. The 2021 vintage presents a deep, brilliant ruby red color. Aromas of ripe red fruit, plum, and fig lead into elegant layers of chocolate and vanilla from oak aging. Medium-bodied with smooth, persistent tannins, this Malbec offers a well-balanced structure with a lingering, velvety finish.
