About the Wine

In the world of fine wine, there are those who merely craft, and then there are those who elevate it to an art form. The Revana Terroir Series Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is a testament to the latter.

Crafted from 100% St. Helena Estate grapes and crafted by the talented hands of winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown, this wine is pure luxury.

At the heart of this estate is Dr. Madaiah Revana, a cardiologist by profession and a passionate winemaker. His journey began over two decades ago when he planted his first vines. Today, he owns three outstanding estates in Napa Valley, Willamette Valley, and Uco Valley, Argentina. All three of these estates have earned a place on Wine Spectator's Top 100 lists. Remarkably, he is the sole immigrant from India to own three wineries, all of which have achieved this prestigious recognition.

Under the watchful eyes of Napa Valley legends, Vineyard Manager Jim Barbour, and Winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown, Revana’s wines are carefully nurtured from vine to bottle.

After the 2010 harvest, Heidi Peterson Barrett stepped down as Revana's consulting winemaker, leaving a lasting impact on the winery's reputation. And in early 2011, Thomas Rivers Brown joined Revana as the consulting winemaker. Thomas is renowned for his Cabernet Sauvignons crafted for Schrader Cellars and has received accolades such as being named Winemaker of the Year by Food & Wine Magazine in 2010. He's also among the select few winemakers globally to achieve multiple 100-point wine scores from both Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate.

Finally, in 2019 Geoff Davies joined the Revana winemaking team from Outpost Wines, having previously worked closely with Thomas Rivers Brown.

At Revana, their sole focus is on producing a single varietal of wine, Cabernet Sauvignon. This exclusive dedication allows them to reach a level of quality and artistry that they truly aim for, on par with the world's great wines.

Revana not only crafts their own Estate Cabernet Sauvignon from their 8.2-acre site in the St. Helena AVA but also sources fruit from some of Napa Valley's finest vineyard sites.

Terroir Series is a journey through time and tradition, a homage to Dr. Revana's Indian heritage. It's a wine that tells a story, from the volcanic soils of the Aiken Stoney Clay loam to the gravel and sand mix of hillside erosion, every element contributing to its complexity.

Aging: 20 months - 65% New French Oak, 35%  Second use French Oak.

Tasting Notes

100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine presents soft tannins that provide a smooth mouthfeel, along with chocolatey undertones that offer a sensory allure. The combination of brambly berry and baking spice notes complements robust dark fruit flavors and elegant tannins.
